Overview
This online lockout-tagout course is designed to get you CSA/CCOHS compliant quickly. A Canada-Compliant Training Class for Lockout/Tagout procedures. I-CAB Recognized. This course satisfies Canada's requirements for the classroom training.
The term "Lockout/Tagout" refers to specific practices and procedures to safeguard workers from the unexpected energizing or start-up of machinery and equipment, or the release of hazardous energy during service or maintenance activities. Lockout/Tagout explains the importance of Lockout/Tagout in protecting the health and safety of workers. The course examines basic workplace safety tenets and examines the specific stages and procedures of the Lockout/Tagout process. The basic tenets of safety are explained as are the specific stages and procedures of the Lockout-Tagout process.
Duration
Approximately 2 hours (120 minutes). Online course is self-paced. Participants may leave the course at any time and can resume where they left off. The duration will vary depending on the individual learner and their prior knowledge of the subject matter.
Who should take this Course?
Employers should train all workers in the basic concepts of hazardous energy control, including energy isolation, locking and tagging of control devices, verifying de-energization, and clearing danger points before re-energizing equipment. Workers whose duties involve installation, maintenance, service, or repair work should be trained in the detailed control procedures required for their particular equipment. This training should enable workers to identify tasks that might expose them to hazardous energy and the effective methods for its control. The content of this course is applicable for all workplaces across Canada, including British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario, Quebec, Newfoundland, Labrador, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Nunavut, and the Northwest & Yukon Territories.

Completion Requirements
At the end of each module, there is a test. Participants that do not achieve 80% can review the module content and try two more times as necessary to complete the course. Upon successful completion, there is a printable Certificate for your records.

Step-by-Step Instructions

You will have three attempts to successfully complete the workplace Lockout Tagout course modules and achieve a minimum score of 80% on the final test. If you are unsuccessful after the third attempt, you will be required to re-purchase the course and start over with three new attempts. As long as you pay attention to the videos, you should have no problem navigating the course and exam process.
Once you have successfully completed all the modules, you can access, download and print your workplace Lockout Tagout Certificate.
