Q. How do I register for a course?
A. You can view all the Canadian Red Cross First Aid & CPR courses we offer here.
- Once you've clicked the course you want, you will be shown a registration portal for that course.
- Click one of the green BOOK buttons to select a specific course date.
- Complete the corresponding information fields and submit your registration.
- You should receive an automated confirmation email within a few minutes of submitting your course registration.
You can always Contact Us if you need assistance or prefer to register over the phone.
Q. How do I pay for my course?
A. We offer several methods of payment for our Canadian Red Cross First Aid & CPR courses.
- Credit Card (Online or over the phone)
- E-Transfer
- Cash

Q. Where do I go to attend my course?
A. Most of our Canadian Red Cross First Aid courses, CPR courses, Emergency Medical Responder courses, Wilderness First Aid courses, Child Care First Aid courses, Instructor courses and BC Workplace Occupational First Aid courses are offered in our Okanagan classroom near Kelowna, BC.
By individual request, we can also arrange to conduct your Canadian Red Cross training course in Vancouver, throughout the Lower Mainland, or in your own local community's classroom training facility anywhere in British Columbia, Alberta and the Northern Territories.

Q. What happens if I cancel my registration?
A. Cancellations initiated by the customer more than 14 days prior to the course start date are eligible for a refund, less the cost of any unreturnable course materials that have already been issued.
- If circumstances require Medi-Pro First Aid & Emergency Training to cancel or reschedule a course, registrants in that course are eligible for a Refund, less the costs of unreturnable Course Materials.
- Course Material costs may be refunded when the Course Materials are returned to Medi-Pro First Aid in pristine, unused condition.
Cancellations initiated by the customer less than 14 days prior to the course start date are not eligible for a refund.
- Failure to attend and participate in any portion of the course will result in the same cancellation fees as a Cancellation with less than 14 days notification.
- If last minute circumstances beyond the student's control force them to miss all or a portion of their course, Medi-Pro First Aid will make reasonable attempts to allow class rescheduling with a Seat Transfer fee, negotiated on a case by case basis.
Q. Can I book a private course for my group or workplace?
A. Yes, you can make special arrangements with Medi-Pro First Aid to conduct a private course for your group.
- Private courses can be conducted at your own facility (depending on suitability), or our regular classroom.
- Disounted prices apply when booking a private course for your group.
- Minimum and maximum class sizes vary with each specific type of course booked.

Q. When do I get my Certificate?
A. As of October 2017, the Canadian Red Cross moved to an online electronic certification system.
Upon successful completion of and payment for your course, Medi-Pro First Aid will process your course and certification through the Canadian Red Cross MyRC platform, and send you a PDF copy of your Certificate.
- This process can take up to 10 business days.
- You will receive an email with your certificate attached as a PDF which you can download, save and/or print for your records.
- Your certificate will have a unique course number and id number, which can be utilized to verify the validity of your certification.
- You can electronically forward the PDF certificate directly to your employer/regulatory agency.
Q. How long is my Certificate valid?
A. Most Canadian Red Cross First Aid program certificates are valid for 3 years from the date you complete your course, including...
- Core (Basic) First Aid & CPR programs.
- Professional Responder programs.
- Wilderness First Aid programs.
- Instructor Development programs.
There are a few exceptions.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certificates are valid for one year only.
- Courses in the Youth Leadership programs (such as Babysitting) do not have a specific expiration period.
- Online courses (such as Psychological First Aid and WHMIS) do not have a specific expiration period.
In some cases, your educational institution/regulatory agency/employer may require periodic training at intervals that supersede the expiration date of your actual certificate.
A. If your most recent Canadian Red Cross First Aid, CPR, Professional Responder, Wilderness First Aid or Instructor certificate is still valid, you qualify to complete a shortened and discounted Recertification course.
- Your must hold a valid (non-expired) certificate at the time you start your Recertification course.
- If your most recent certificate has already expired, you must attend the complete course to obtain a new certificate.

A. The specific course that will meet your individual needs depends on several factors including your personal interest, profession, educational field, and local governing agencies.
Medi-Pro First Aid can provide some general guidelines to assist in choosing the best course for you, however you should always confirm your specific course requirements with your employer/local governing authority.

Q. Is CPR & AED included with my First Aid course?
A. All of our Canadian Red Cross First Aid, Professional Responder and Wilderness First Aid courses include CPR and Automated External Defibrillator (AED) training and certification.

Q. What are the levels of CPR?
A. In addition to being included with First Aid courses, CPR-AED certification is also available in stand-alone courses.
- CPR level C includes the skills to perform CPR & AED on Adults, Children and Babies.
- CPR level A includes the skills to perform CPR & AED on Adults only.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) was previously referred to as CPR HCP, and includes the skills to perform CPR & AED on Adults, Children, Infants, and Neonates, as well as additional skills such as a team approach, pulse checks and Bag-Valve-Mask, for health care professionals.

A. Hands-Only CPR is also referred to as Compressions-Only CPR, and involves performing CPR chest compressions without providing the breathing/respirations that would "normally" be included.
