Out-of-Jurisdiction OFA Level 1 Certificate
OFA Level 1 Certification through Jurisprudence Process
If you have a current Canadian Red Cross Emergency First Aid (EFA) or Standard First Aid (SFA) certificate, which you obtained outside of British Columbia, you are eligible to obtain a WorkSafe BC Occupational First Aid Level 1 equivalency certificate through the self-directed Out-of-Jurisdiction OFA Jurisprudence process.
Follow the steps below to obtain a WorkSafe BC OFA 1 equivalency certificate.
- Access, download and complete the WorkSafe BC OFA Certificate Application Form
- Access, download and complete the WorkSafe BC OFA Jurisprudence Self-Study Package
- Complete the OFA Jurisprudence Registration form above
- Upload an electronic copy of your current Canadian Red Cross First Aid certificate to the Registration form above
- Upload an electronic copy of your completed WorkSafe BC OFA Certificate Application Form to the Registration form above
- Upload an electronic copy of your completed WorkSafe BC OFA Jurisprudence Self-Study Package to the Registration form above
- Submit the completed Registration form above
- Pay the corresponding invoice you receive shortly after submitting the Registration
- Arrange to show your Accepted ID to a Medi-Pro First Aid representative in an in-person or online video-meeting session
Upon successful completion of the steps outlined above, you will recieve a WorkSafe BC Occupational First Aid Level 1 Out-of-Jurisdiction equivalency certificate.
