OFA Level 1 Certification through Jurisprudence Process

OFA Jurisprudence

If you have a current Canadian Red Cross Emergency First Aid (EFA) or Standard First Aid (SFA) certificate, which you obtained outside of British Columbia, you are eligible to obtain a WorkSafe BC Occupational First Aid Level 1 equivalency certificate through the self-directed Out-of-Jurisdiction OFA Jurisprudence process.

Follow the steps below to obtain a WorkSafe BC OFA 1 equivalency certificate.

1. Access, download and complete the WorkSafe BC OFA Certificate Application Form
2. Access, download and complete the WorkSafe BC OFA Jurisprudence Self-Study Package
3. Complete the OFA Jurisprudence Registration form above
4. Upload an electronic copy of your current Canadian Red Cross First Aid certificate to the Registration form above
5. Upload an electronic copy of your completed WorkSafe BC OFA Certificate Application Form to the Registration form above
6. Upload an electronic copy of your completed WorkSafe BC OFA Jurisprudence Self-Study Package to the Registration form above
7. Submit the completed Registration form above
8. Pay the corresponding invoice you receive shortly after submitting the Registration
9. Arrange to show your Accepted ID to a Medi-Pro First Aid representative in an in-person or online video-meeting session

Upon successful completion of the steps outlined above, you will recieve a WorkSafe BC Occupational First Aid Level 1 Out-of-Jurisdiction equivalency certificate.
