Practical Evaluation Guide & Report Form
One of your duties as a Canadian Red Cross EMR Instructor or First Responder Instructor is to conduct practical Scenario Evaluations, and document your students' performance as complete/successful or incomplete/unsuccessful. Accurate, fair and consistent documentation of your students' EMR and First Responder skills is an important task, which allows them to progress and ensure they are ready for the next phase of their Professional Responder career and EMALB Licensing process.
The Practical Evaluation Guide gives you a solid understanding of the Canadian Red Cross Scenario objective Scenario scoring system, and the Practical Evaluation Report provides you with a consistent form to record each Scenario performance. Although each Scenario and student will be unique, with unavoidably subjective components, these documents will provide you with a fair and structured method of grading them, in a way that is credible and defensible.
