Canadian Red Cross Program Standards Orientation
In order to arrive prepared for your Canadian Red Cross First Aid Instructor course, and diligently conduct your duties as a Canadian Red Cross First Aid & CPR Instructor, you must be familiar with the Canadian Red Cross First Aid Program Standards. Not only does an in-depth understanding of the Program Standards help you deliver the highest quality Canadian Red Cross First Aid courses, it also helps you protect and retain the Canadian Red Cross Instructor Certification(s) you've worked so hard to obtain.
Completing the Canadian Red Cross First Aid Program Standards Orientation form will involve searching for and finding information about course rules and regulations throughout and within the Program Standards. The Program Standards are updated frequently, so knowing where to find and verify this information in writing is far more important than just remembering what someone once told you, or guessing at the answers. The Orientation Form is essentially a "guided tour" of the Canadian Red Cross Program Standards, specifically tailored to familiarize you with information that is particularly relevant to a Canadian Red Cross First Aid Programs Instructor. The Orientation form also includes information about WorkSafe BC first aid training requirements and BC EMALB First Responder and EMR Licensing requirements which are specifically applicable to Canadian Red Cross First Aid courses conducted in British Columbia.
You can start the Orientation Form and save your progress, then continue later where you left off. Once you've completed and submitted the Program Standards Orientation Form, you will receive an email copy of your answers, which you can print and bring to your Instructor course.
