Professional Responder Scenarios
When you are teaching a Canadian Red Cross EMR or First Responder course, one of the most important student centered activities will be the practical Scenarios. These Scenarios allow the students to apply all the skills and knowledge they've acquired to that point, and apply them in a relevant and realistic manner. Scenarios can be utilized as a tool to enhance learning and progression, as well as a summative evaluation tool to help determine whether or not a student is prepared to move on to Certification and Licensing.
Listed and linked below, are the most current
Canadian Red Cross Professional Responder Scenarios. These are classified into loosely defined "Trauma" based "Medical" based emergencies, as well as a wide range of specficic injuries and illnesses. They are formatted to provide the Instructor or Evaluator, and the "Patient" enough background information and clinical findings to make the Scenario as realistic as possible.
