The Sager Traction Splint is a specialized piece of equipment used by Emergency Medical Responders in British Columbia. The Traction Splint allows rescuers to apply effective and sustainable longitudinal traction to a mid-third femur fracture, which can reduce the amount of pain the patient suffers in the field and during transport, as well as prevent further damage to internal structures and tissues.
