In order to maintain WorkSafe BC OFA Level 1 equivalency for Canadian Red Cross Emergency First Aid and Standard First Aid courses in British Columbia, Instructors must complete and document a First Aid and CPR Progress Log for all EFA and SFA participants.
The First Aid and CPR Progress Log allows Canadian Red Cross Instructors to document the successful demonstration of each individual skill competency required by each participant in either an Emergency First Aid or Standard First Aid course. All the Canadian Red Cross First Aid and CPR skill components & participants are recorded on a single page to reduce duplication of paperwork and file storage requirements.
Once completed, the First Aid and CPR Progress Log does not need to be submitted directly to the Canadian Red Cross, but it does need to be stored with all the other relevant course paperwork in accordance with Canadian Red Cross First Aid Program Standards.
