Youth Leader Guide
Canadian Red Cross Youth Leader Guide for Youth Programs Leadership course participants in Kelowna, BC.
The Youth Leader Guide is used by Canadian Red Cross Facilitators and Instructors as a course development, refinement and implementation tool when delivering Youth Leader Programs, including Babysitting and Stay Safe courses.
Canadian Red Cross Youth Leadership courses encourage and develop habits of safety, self-reliance, respect and responsibility. Rather than teaching clinical first aid skills, the goal is to create a safe and enjoyable learning environment that allows young people to discover and apply key lessons on their own terms. However, there are some broadly applicable first aid skills integrated as well.
A printed copy of the Youth Leader Guide is included with the course materials for your Canadian Red Cross Youth Leadership course. You can also download a PDF copy of the Youth Leader Guide, and keep it stored for quick, easy access on your computer, laptop, tablet and smartphone.
