Youth First Aid
Canadian Red Cross Youth First Aid: Fundamentals of Instruction for Youth Programs Leadership course participants in Kelowna, BC.
The Youth First Aid Fundamentals of Instruction manual is used by Canadian Red Cross Facilitators and Instructors as a course development, refinement and implementation tool when teaching Youth Leader Programs.
Canadian Red Cross Youth Leadership courses encourage and develop habits of safety, self-reliance, respect and responsibility. Rather than teaching clinical first aid skills, the goal is to create a safe and enjoyable learning environment that allows young people to discover and apply key lessons on their own terms. However, there are some broadly applicable first aid skills integrated as well.
